Carpet Selection
In the world of carpet selection, many factors can come into play when deciding what texture, color and depth is best for your next room. You should compare a few stores and see which retailer has the best selections and prices. A good thick carpet always has great insulating qualities, but is very difficult to clean and pull all the dirt from. A thin carpet is easy to clean but might not insulate as well.
Color is very critical and when picking a neutral color you can never go wrong. I personally like thick and soft carpet, but if you are trying to save money due to the size of room, you will need to lay it yourself; otherwise, it can be a burden on your pocketbook. From personal experience, the best carpet for looks, money and durability is a type of carpet known as Berber. It has a very long life span and if you have kids or pets, they won’t stand a chance against its tough and rugged texture. Just make sure you are happy with your final decision and that it matches the room that you are doing the installation in.
